Very tasty food, a bit expensive and small portions is probably the only thing I can point out, but still worth it because of such a good experience! If you compare it to Västervik's other eateries, this is top class.

Fantastic food, a real taste sensation that explodes on the palate. The waiter has full control of everything in the room. I recommend Smugglaren every day of the week. Book a table as it is usually full.

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered many things and all of them were fantastic and well worth the price. My personal favorite was the fish with artichoke glaze and potatoes. I could have drank the glaze with a straw. The fish was soft and not at all fishy tasting. The tuna appetizer was very small, enough for one, maybe two people tops, but was salty and good. I did not like the steak tartare, to me it was like eating a raw hamburger, but the steak dinner was very good. We had raspberry cheesecake for dessert with a port wine. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and kind and allowed us to sample wine to pair with dinner. Overall a wonderful meal and experience. I would highly recommend. They had tables large enough to seat 10 , and it was not loud or overcrowded.
